Summer School Program

Hello everyone and welcome to the official presentation of our Permaculture Summer School!

We enjoyed presenting how our Market Garden works to all of you in 2023, and thanks to that experience we have renewed the format: 3 meetings of 3 days each, on which the harmony of the garden is explained and experienced!

We designed this course so you can come out of it with all the knowledge and the practice of the farming’s life: each of you will have their own project to follow at home and on our land, plus all the pamphlets and booklets where the theory of the matter is explained! And in order to allow your batteries to fully recharge whilst you learn, we added extra Yoga and Meditation sessions and a sauna night!

Here we want to share some of the tasks we are going to cover. If you are more curious than this, you can ask for more info via form or via mail: permafuture@posteo.net

In July we will be in the FULL MID SEASON!: the plants are big and we want them to keep producing and to stay healthy! Here we are learning

  • How to sharpen our eyes on emerging pests

  • How to produce different types of fertilizers

  • About fungal diseases, nutrient deficiency and how to react

  • Interplanting

  • How to avoid chaos by re-designing plants’ growth

  • Seasonal harvesting and seasonal planting

August is the month in which Summer gets wet and we observe disease amongst the leaves. This will teach us about

  • Prevention and intervention

  • Minerals, natural agents, bacterias: how to make, what to get

  • Green covers to improve soil

  • Enriching the insects biodiversity: the importance of nourishing them properly

  • What to seed for the Winter harvest

  • How to pollinate by hand

  • How to save your seeds for the following year

  • Managing slugs

  • How to dry properly

In September we are gifting you the experience of preparing not only the garden for the coldest season, but also for displaying your harvest for the public!

We will

  • Organize a Market Day!

  • Keep Summer plants as alive as possible by trimming them

  • Ferment food and store roots

  • Mix teas for herbal-emotional regulation

  • Set up fleece tunnels

  • Seed the winter leaves

  • Extend the harvesting period of berries

These are some amongst the many tasks that you will learn by doing. For each meeting we will also cover our personal history, what moves us and some secrets on how we organize our energy to be sharp on the tasks.

We will be collecting your questions on our Instagram stories on Saturday - stay tuned and also know that you can get in touch any time!

Thank you for having read - we also invite you to share this to all your friends asking them to do the same :)

In this communal view, we thrive. We hope we all can get back what we give.

Enjoy your time

Benny and MaVie
